La Roche-Posay continues its partnership with Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, the world’s leading gamer and a two-time melanoma survivor, for skin cancer awareness.

Together, they will host Gaming for Cause, a 24-hour global livestreaming event today, September 19.

The event is dedicated to raising awareness about skin cancer prevention and detection, and raising funds to organize vital mole checks and skin cancer prevention activities worldwide.

Ninja’s personal experience with skin cancer lends authenticity and urgency to the Gaming for Cause message, enabling him to connect with audiences on a deeply personal level about the importance of skin health.

Alexandra Reni-Catherine, La Roche-Posay Global General Manager, commented,

“We are incredibly proud to launch ‘Gaming for Cause’ and unite the power of gaming with our dermatological expertise. This event represents a bold step forward in our ‘Save Your Skin’ mission, allowing us to reach and educate millions about skin cancer prevention and detection. By partnering with Ninja and the UICC, we are confident that we can make a profound and lasting impact on global skin health.”

About the Initiative

Gaming for Cause will initiate a 24-hour global livestream uniting top gamers, celebrated streamers, influential personalities, and medical professionals.

Broadcast on pro-gamers’ platforms, Twitch and YouTube, participants will engage in popular video games while educating audiences on skin cancer prevention and detection, and the critical need for mole checks.

Viewers are invited to interact, learn, and contribute, empowering them with actionable, life-saving knowledge.

Gaming for Cause ensures a direct and transparent path for every donation. Funds are channeled straight to the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

UICC will fund crucial mole checks and skin cancer prevention activities in communities across the world through a network of local NGOs.

Customized donation ladders will also be in place on key players’ channels to further incentivize contributions and maximize impact.
